This Father’s Day post is  dedicated to my father, who was one of the anonymous heroes during the bloodless EDSA revolution of 1986 that saw the downfall of the dictator Marcos and ushered in a new phase of democracy in the Philippines.

Back in 1986, when there was no internet and blogging was a figment of no one’s imagination,  people kept journals and diaries.  I am posting his recount of his EDSA experience that illustrates his bravado  amidst the call of duty.  Happy Father’s Day, dad.
